Re: passage of lines
If you can interpenetrate artillery without having to bother with the 1ud gap either side of it, can you interpenetrate infantry or cavalry without causing disorder if the units within 1ud to either side are artillery?

Group Wheel under attack or engage orders
Suppose you have a division all of the same troop type. You have attack or engage orders, so need to move half of them at full speed. How do you do even a partial wheel with the division while maintaining unit alignment within the formation, as only the outside units in the wheel can move the full d...

Maximum Division Size
When you're building an army, one of the limitations on p101 is that an infantry/mixed division has a maximum size of 10 units, one or two of which can be artillery.
When you come to deploy it, can you go beyond these limitations by adding units from the reserve?

Re: Movement of troops under Retreat orders
This is how I've played it. I don't think 'A' class infantry should have to about face and march off just because that's faster than going backwards, when 'B' class don't.

Re: Threatened Flanks in Combat
I'm confused by threatened flank or rear. You can only have a threatened flank if your flank is not safe and...... you are shot in the flank at short or effective range. But if you are shot in the flank, it is automatically threatened, regardless of whether it is safe or not. In your example with th...

Re: Corps Reserve Artillery movement
Okay, thanks. I've been playing it that the cp came from the divisional commander I moved the arty with on any given go so far. Must remember to keep it somewhat near the C-in-C from now on...

Corps Reserve Artillery movement
Artillery in the reserve can be activated along with any division. Does it have to comply with that division's order? For example, can I move my reserve artillery forward, unlimber and shoot, during the activation of a division on defend at the end of go 1, and then shoot, limber and run away using ...

Opportunity charge on moving non-group
If I have a division consisting of infantry and a cavalry unit, with the cavalry providing rear support, I cannot move them as a group, even though my intention is that at the end of the divisional move the cavalry remains in the same position relative to the infantry it is supporting. If I advance ...
