Re: Firing Priorities
Hi Herve,
That would seem to contradict your answer to a question I posed on the French forum.

Re: Retreat move reactions question
No, I don't think so.
I think
Cavalry who are disordered can flee
Cavalry in good order with orders other than attack or hold can flee.

Re: Attack order and Cavalry formations
You also need to be aware that you travel along a line from the centre of your front to the centre of the unit being charged, so in a lot of cases this would rule out charging at units beyond the squares as well.

Re: Time of arrival of flank marches
So, generally you will roll the first dice on turn 1 for arrival on turn 2 (assuming you achieved the six needed). The arrival turn is modified by type of battle. If its an encounter your earliest arrival depends on what group the division is in. So if you have 4 divisions and the division flank mar...

Re: Firing Priorities
I guess it depends on your take on the situation as a god but in the heat of battle, possibly the straight ahead shot is the easiest. In these rules if you want to pick your target, get the artillery on a hill, attach a general or pay to move them to the appropriat angle. I haven't found it to be a ...

Re: 4cm to 3cm bases
Hi,
I think the answer is in the example above the diagrams on p18. The value of a ud is equal to 2 bases, So if using 4 by 3 then you would end up 2 bases front and 2 behind.

Re: Target priority for my 12 pounders

Target priority for my 12 pounders
Hi, Enemy cavalry directly ahead across a river at 10UD effective range, Enemy infantry at between 4 and 5UD in cannister range slightly to the right of directly ahead. My opponent says the cavalry is my target priority but I want to shoot at the infantry. Its 2 turns for the cavalry to cross the ri...

Artillery Limbers
Est-ce que la base d'artillerie comprend déjà les limbers ou avez-vous besoin d'une base séparée? Si vous avez besoin d’une base séparée. Quelle est la taille de la base des Limbers? et bloque-t-il le mouvement ou le passage de lignes.
