If so does it suffer any penalty for firing or shock combat

That’s how I interpret it. Would you also agree if the buildings in a village had a 2UD GAP between them that this area would also be considered difficult?

The idea is to force the enemy to occupy the buildings and not squeeze in between them. In a village with 4 buildings can two buildings be side by side touching each other and across the road another two buildings be wise by side touching each other
I could not find any restriction on buildings other than in a village they can’t be more than 2 UD apart

A Prussian Hussar arrives off board under attack orders and charges a French Hussar in the flank
The Prussian moves to 4 UD and the French roll a control test. Do the French take a -1 for cavalry threat at 4 UD?

Had a situation
French cavalry in column charge a Prussian battery in the flank from 10UD
The class B Battery tries to turn but fails its maneuver test
So the battery hooked up and fled 3UD Far enough not to get caught
Since artillery flees instead of becoming disordered
Is this correct ?

Herve also seems to clear up the disordered cavalry fighting and winning the combat and not being destroyed by a second disorder (cav disordered at the end of the combat)
