hmmm
So the Flee (reaction movement rule) at the bottom of page 49 is only for infantry with hold or attack orders?

Retreat move reactions question
Hi I'm a little confused with the reaction to movement rules and would like some help please page 46 Retreat move reserved for detached skirmishers and cavalry says. They can make a normal move away from enemy moving into tactical distance. However if the unit has an action marker it cannot move bac...

Re: Artillery prep fire and movement
Yes, but no +1 for stationary bonus
It can also fire then limber and move with a (-1 for moving) Unless C class where limbering up takes the whole movement

Re: Attack order and Cavalry formations
Hi ya
Page 42 (English rules)
Charge Target priority
Units must charge enemy within 2UD if no enemy is within 2UD it may charge target of its choice.
The only thing we found when charging targets behind squares is that you need 3UD gap between enemy units to get past.

Impetuous cavalry-Withdrawal move
Hi
In a Shock combat its very clear victorious Impetuous cavalry must pursue fleeing or routed troops and cannot make a withdrawal move.
What are their options if they win the combat with a melee or retreat result? Can they withdraw here or do they have to advance 1UD?

Re: Why you should play BE ...
Rob I think the lack of wiggle room in our game was because were using troop stands and a UD that was 10mm bigger than the rules suggest for that size table. 40mm Frontage so 40mm UD. The fact that I was using Austrians with their big battalions probably didn't help. Next game I think we should move...

Attaching commanders
Page 27 Attach a commander Bullet point 3 states "A commander within 2 UD of a unit may also be attached to the unit if the unit is the target of shooting or if it is charged by enemy. The decision must be made before the combat resolution." For example Cavalry unit A declares a charge on infantry u...

Detached skirmisher option in army lists
Hi I have a couple of questions on the detached skirmisher option in army lists When you buy (1) detached skirmisher unit in an army (1809 Danube Austrians for example) does it? 1. count as full unit when workout your artillery proportions eg an army containing 14 units (1 of which is a detached ski...
