This is beginning to look like one of the old EU debates. The English say "this is the rule, we must obey it." The French respond by saying "we don't think the rule should apply here. We aren't going to use it." 😁
Fortunately I do not see cossacks winning many combats. It might not be a big issue, but if you play me...

unfortunately, I agree Roger.

The question is :
did the Cossack who must suffered a disordered must Flee instead, ( as the rules says)
or
Did the Cossack can became disordered ? ( as the FAQ says)

For the french players Cossacks cannot became disordered. SO no reason to flee.

Waiting for the creator answer

Yes, we might be struggling with the rules, but at least we understand the problem 😁.

Hello

There is a misunterstood here.
Cossaks cannot be disordered because they don't have a real "formation".
When they have a "Disorder" result after a combat they flee instead

But if they win a combat and pursue, they don't become disordered again as the end of the pursuit and they don't lose a cohesion point.
It will be strange to make them flee when they win a combat anf pursue.

Note : Same rule if a Disordered cavalry win a combat and pursue

Is it clear ?

Wait, wait, wait. Are you really saying that a G6 Imperial Guard heavy cavalry that fights a melee is disordered afterwards win or loose, but an I1 Yuruk isn't? That just cannot be correct in any sane universe.

I suppose the argument is that the guards are so good because of their discipline and training. They are drilled to reform and come under the control of their officers. The irregulars are never much more than a mob running around. The concept of forming up doesn't exist for them.

Thank you Herve for answering this and thank you Zeitoun for posting on The French Forum
Herve also seems to clear up the disordered cavalry fighting and winning the combat and not being destroyed by a second disorder (cav disordered at the end of the combat)
Thank you
Walt

They fight better (+9) than the yuruks (+2) so will win the fight and make a backward move after winning. Still disordered and needing a turn to regain their disciplined formation.
The yoruks will flee against litterally anything. But that's the way: they have no regular formation to begin with, so cannot be disordered, but lacks the advantages of the formed units.
