Placing roads not connecting a building

We had a game where a building ended up along the LOC road

For a village/ building you must connect from the building to another road or table

So if the building is already connected are you able to place the road anywhere you want?

I hadn't considered that one. I'll have a close look at the rules tomorrow morning

That would appear to be correct. You have the option to take the road.

Yes ,If you choose the road.....then are you required to connect it to the building or are you able to place it anywhere you want?

It doesn't actually say you have to connect the road to that building. I suppose that so long as all the buildings are connected correctly, spare roads can go anywhere.

Most of the time, i add another road to be sure that 3 objectives are possible in each half table.

And not necessary link to a building or a village.
