If an artillery battery has an opportunity target, can it fire at this target if there is another target with a higher priority it could fire at in its own activation?
In today's game an artillery battery had a formed unit directly ahead. An enemy battery unlimbered at the side of the formed unit.
We wanted to know if the battery could hit the limbered guns before they unlimbered, or did it have to wait to fire at the formed infantry directly in front?

Re: Opportunity Fire
Hi roger.
Opportunity fire folow the same priority rules. So not possible unless there is a general attached to the artillery.

Re: Opportunity Fire
Thanks, that is how we played it.
I played Adrian yesterday. We used the changes to be played at the Poitier event. I have to say that I really like all those changes.
I think the change to the 'hold order' area is a very clever idea. Congratulations to whoever thought of that one!
