fire from batiment

Which are the "modificateurs " for a Infantry unit in a batiment ? the unit have the bonus from line formation or take account only from Tiralleurs ?

Hi Alberto.

we have the same issue last night.

What we decided:
unit in "batiment" don't have any formation. ( so no line , no colonne bonus)
They can use Skrimish factor if at long range. And if the unit have a better FT give -1 to the opponent.

In fact unit in "batiment" don't shoot well and don't realy risk something from infantery shoot.

Yes, infantry in buildings fire like skirmisher at zero factor and the result is taken from the second column un the Firing table.
Firing from and to a building is not very efficient except if artillery ...

therefore the only modificateurs for units in Buildings are :
Tiralleurs +1/+2
Cible avec meilleur FT

and for the units outside that fire at the building?

Hi Alberto

for inside units : 0 factor if shoot at effective range
FT factor if shoot a long range.

For outside units : Line factor or column factor minus coverage factor at effective range
FT factor minus coverage if at long range.

add all other factor as usual ( action marker, loss, etc....)

all the fire result in the second table. ( batiment/ long range / skirmish )

exact, except that unit can always fire with their FT factor from or to a building.
