Suppose you have a division all of the same troop type. You have attack or engage orders, so need to move half of them at full speed.
How do you do even a partial wheel with the division while maintaining unit alignment within the formation, as only the outside units in the wheel can move the full distance?

All the units have to do is face the same direction and be within 2UD of each other. If the front edges are level, the unit on the inside of the wheeling group will be ahead after the wheel. Even after quite a large angle of wheel the rearr corner of the 'inside' unit will still be within 2UD of the other unit's front corner.
