distance tactique
distance tactique
With an order " Manoeuver" my units stay out of tactis distance of the enemy
a) but if the enemy enter in my 4 UD , what i do?
b) the tactical distance is 4UD or minus : one Cavallerie with an order of "Engagér" can charge or move at tactical distance of Enemies ; in this manner
create " Zone of Control" over enemy Infantry blocking the freedom of change Formation ?

Re: distance tactique
When you are in manouever order but an other unit (not skirmishers) is within tactical range, you can change your order to "hold (tenir)" for free (page 34: Automatic orders change) in teh strategic command phase.
Re: distance tactique
a) If the ennemy comes at 4 UD you can change your order to Hold. If not, you can retreat or stay in place but not advance to the ennemy nor engage combat.
b) A cavalry with Engage Order can advance at 4 UD or minus and so create a zone of opportunity charge if the ennemy move.

Re: distance tactique
If I understand, You cant change your order in 'Manoeuver" if you are at 4 UD or less or is it possible?
and if it's possible you can "retreat" to move after like a normal move with Manoeuvre order?

Re: distance tactique
You can change the order to manouever, it just won't be really efficient.
For example, only one of your untis is within tactical range of the enemy; You can still move all the other units freely.
