I am just learning these rules. This is a 200 point army I am trialing, based on my favourite, Napoleon in Italy, 1796. Those who have played a few games - do you think this is viable as an army to play against all comers?

Yes I think it is a good army.
The best way to verify is to battle against austrian army of the same period
